Guest-Blog: Natural Touches

I´m very proud to welcome another guest-blogger this week. Susi from Design Shuffle is going to tell us some very interesting things about natural touches. So have a look and enjoy:)

Hi, I'm Susi, a writer for Design Shuffle, a fantastic social media site where design professionals and design lovers from around the world can showcase their work and find inspiration in the tens of thousands of images. Speaking of inspiration and decorating ideas, I love In.Good.Style because there are always gorgeous images to browse. I'm delighted to be visiting today and talking about natural touches.

We all know the design phrase bringing the outdoors in and natural touches are the best way to do this. Having a daily reminder of the outdoors makes for a nurturing home. Enjoy!

Adding touches of nature brings organic elements to any space. These natural touches can also be delightful and make you smile, like these little birds.

A wreath of shells, leaves or other natural touches is a pretty way to decorate a door to great visitors or over a mantel. Wreaths can be made of almost any natural element...you are only limited by your imagination.

Wood of any kind in its natural state brings a natural touch to any room. Reclaimed wood furnishings, wood sculptures, wood floors... all are warm and inviting natural touches.

Driftwood is a great way to add a natural touch to living room designs. Used in lamps, tables and as decor, driftwood recalls the coast and sea air.

In a modern style room, natural touches can bring warmth to a room. Mixed with a glass lamp and metal vases, this wood bowl has a lovely organic feeling.

While shells are a common natural touch for beachside decor, other elements from the sea can invoke the same feeling. Sea sponges and sea fans look like sculpture.

Framed natural elements, like sea fans or ferns, pressed leaves or flowers, make charming art work. These natural prints are also inexpensive ways to create a gallery wall.

Flowers, flowering spring branches or fall foliage make lovely natural touches for a room. As in this serene bedroom design, just a few blooms or leaves can bring life to a room and raise your spirits. Images [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 ]
