Midsommar Ideas

Midsommar is a very important celebration in Sweden which takes place on the Saturday between the 20th and 26th of June. For this reason the people collect flowers for wreath and many girls and women wear white dresses. They also have a typical meal on that day: People eat the so called "sill" (herring) and potatoes with onions and dill. As a dessert there are strawberries with cream. Many Swedish start a five-week-holiday then and they celebrate this day together with family and friends.
